I use this section to post things I feel like writing or pieces of mine that go up elsewhere on the web. With my book now done, I'll be putting new material up a lot more often.

Exactly how often remains to be seen, but definitely more frequently than the few pieces a year that I was doing while working on Odd Jobs. To be notified any time I post something new and to receive a copy of one of my favorite pieces of writing unavailable anywhere else, sign up for my mailing list below. August 31, 2019's THINK section recently asked me if I wanted to write a piece mocking the people behind Boston's Straight Pride parade. My answer? Hell yeah!

Game of Thrones just added another entry to the long list of bad finales capping off otherwise-great shows. And you want to know what makes that especially frustrating?

When Deflategate happened last week, I felt bad. But now I'm over it, and I'm ready to watch some fucking football.

I'm Tired of Feeling Deflated

December 2013- April 2014

One of my favorite jobs ever was writing recaps of the TV show Scandal for a website called BDC Wire. I called the series Stuff I Shout at the Television, and each piece was basically me complaining about the mile-wide plot holes in that week's episode. Of which there were plenty. This a collection of those recaps.

In 2013, I got to interview one of my favorite radio hosts: NPR star Peter Sagal.
